England women won Euro 2022 with Wiegman in charge. That's one more European Championship win than England's men have ever managed - in 60 odd years of trying. So who else do we have who is better qualified? Surely you're not shocked, outraged (or whatever that emoticon means) simply because Sarina Weigman is a woman, are you?
Being successful within women’s footy doesn’t mean she can adapt to men’s footy - some things should be left as Men only !
There are male managers in women's football. Several at International level I think. Now it may be that you are just as opposed to them, and feel that only women should be managers of women's football teams. But I myself cannot think why gender should matter. Sarina Wiegman has proved she can lead a senior England team to victory in International competition. Nobody else has done that since Sir Alf Ramsey. She may not want the job of England's men's team manager of course. But it wouldn't hurt the FA to talk to her about it.
It's the same sport. Same pitch, same rules, same Association. Same World governing body. Different pay, but that gap is closing already. Several of our women's team from last season have gone to other Clubs for huge pay rises. It's only different in the minds of some fans. However I'm drifting off-topic, so I won't mention it again here.
The FA could pay me a fraction of Southgate's salary - say 50k - to decide with utter certainty that Kane is past it at international level. I'm not greedy. Or daft.
Looks like Father Time has caught up with Harry Kane. It can happy “just like that”. @ElfsborgAddick had a similar experience after his 14th pint in Bromley Spoons.
Nonsense Lardi. Look at the levels of physicality involved. It’s literally like comparing apples with pears.
I cannot take women's football seriously. Are there any men that analyse the women's game? Ian Wright did, was it a woman's international tournament? He must have done it for a pound note.
I believe the Female Team is playing tonight ? ITV’s panel of experts is a good one .. Alex Scott, Karen Carney, Fatima Whitbread and @lardiman
Nothing against the women's game, just can't get enthused. On a phone-in on LBC Ian Dale got dog's abuse for saying that the women's game hadn't reached the level of the men's game YET. One woman even compared him to the Taliban.

Problems at Chelsea, where Argentinian star midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been caught on film claiming that French internationals all have Angolan & Cameroon parents ? This has severely p issed off the BAME players at Chelsea, led by Wesley Fofana, who are threatening to refuse to play with Fernandez. Fofana has re-tweeted the video in which Fernandez alleges that the French National Team carries a strong African influence.
These were my thoughts, posted recently in another thread; Qatar, Riyadh and the dark side of Sport It's blatant, disgusting racism. And the people in authority who should be stamping it out are just explaining it away, like they always do. Where do they get "alleged" from? There is nothing alleged about it. It's bare-faced racism.
Private Eye has an article on this. The picture was of England and Sheffield Wednesday fan Paul "Tango" Gregory, who is famous for being shirtless during games- and might look to some like the caricature of an intolerant Englishman. In fact, Gregory is no ordinary hooligan; he has twice called for rival fans to be sanctioned for being racist to England's stars. After a match in Bulgaria, he called abuse by rival fans "an absolute disgrace", and added: "There's no way that this horrible racism can continue." So was The National being more thuggish than the man it chose to deride?
