thats right, apparently Bristol City came in for him & he said no. Sounds like the kind of player who is happy to just pick up his wage & we are best off without him causing further unrest. Let him rot until we find a potential suitor & I really hope its not West Ham but a lower league club <ok>

Bristol City have found a bit of form winning there last 3 games and are on the up since McInnes has taken over, it would have been a challenge there & they matched us for Killas wages when they signed him but I guess there not high profile enough for the world beater AOB.

Another suggestion that he's either A) a complete lazy bastard who's sitting out his contract and can't be arsed working or B) got some personal issues and can't focus on first team football. Really doesn't suggest a clash of personalities to me, no matter what some journalists are suggesting.

If he doesnt want to play for us he shouldnt have the choice where we ship him! too much player power IMO.

Surely in most other walks of life you would be fired & have a black mark on your CV.

I'm sure it will all come out once AOB has found a new home, well his side of events anyway <ok>

at the end of the day he is a greedy bastard hence the reason he is his own agent!

Hence why even though he had negotiated a deal with us he drove all the way to Cardiff discussed a better deal with them then drove back and said "Im a Leeds fan and want to play for Leeds (load of bollox) " n asked us to match the better offer which we did!

I should imagine he will want to get a pay out of his contract and another signing on fee with West Ham plus better wages! GREEDY ****

His dad acts as his agent and not having an agent should be the norm. It's when players do have agents that they turn into greedy twats because their representative is always whispering 'I can get you more at club X' in their ear and hiking up the wages during negotiations. I respect him for sticking with a family member and not paying some fat cat to talk on his behalf.

    <ok> That's true.

It's all guesswork so far, but does his behaviour and the reaction of people at the club really suggest to you that this is a tantrum about wanting away to West Ham? To me, all the signs point towards either a backroom disagreement, personal problems, or as I said above, him being idle (surely unlikely).

Purely conjecture so plz don't crucify me! But my friend told me today his m8 (yep a friend of a friend situation!) that works at Walker Morris are dealing with the litigation side of the whole saga and he said it was to do with Simon n OB's other half!! My m8 generally is spot on with the Leeds grapevine but as I say it's not gospel!!!

Would Bates not have been more critical if it was just that? He was on about offering the man personal support, for goodness' sake! You'd expect an absolute savaging if O'Brien was being so selfish and greedy.

If he's refused to play then surely he's broken his contract. Sack him and save the club some money.

Maybe he cant on the grounds that he shagged his Mrs? Something was going on with Grayson not to long ago & everyone thought he was knobbing his PA or someone connected with the club. Could it have been AOB's Mrs?

Pure speculation may I add <ok>

Usually this would be the kind of situation where Bates would kill him in his media comments. But the fact that he hasn't, suggests it's something more complex.

I think AOB is greedy - hence why he went to Cardiff to get better wages here - but this might not be the reason why he doesn't want to play for us again.
