Exactly, not every club is us and rolls over for piss poor transfer fees. £7 million isn’t much in this day and age so if we want him bid close (with add ins) or the full amount. If he helps us go up then it will be a great return on the investment
Sheff utd are in financial trouble themselves. **** em. Stick the £3 million on the table and tell em to give us a ring when they realise it's all they are getting.
If we want Bogle get him, just stop fkg about and if you do get him it will clearly show our DOF department a) know what their doing and b) are trying for promotion. Just get the fk on with it please
How can they be in financial trouble though. Surely they got the 150m or whatever last season and massive parachute payments ? Is it more of the ffp nonsense
They have defaulted on transfer payments and will start on -2 points this season for posting a £35 million loss in the Championship during their promotion season.
Listen, Sheff utd have a price for him and it's £7 million. Leeds price him at £3 million. If £3 million is the most we are willing to pay and they won't accept it then we leave the offer there and move on to the next target. If some other club wants to pay the £7 million then that's their decision.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68790604 Sheffield United will start with a two-point deduction the next time they play in the Championship, following a ruling by the EFL. The Blades broke EFL rules by defaulting on payments to other clubs during their 2022-23 promotion season. As well as the initial deduction, the Premier League's bottom club have been handed a further two-point suspension. The club said it was "disappointed" but will not appeal against the decision. Instead, Sheffield United added that it "took the view that it was better to reach an agreement which minimised the risks of a higher deduction or further transfer embargoes being imposed, and being distracted by lengthy and costly legal proceedings. "The club is now in a position to close this matter and concentrate on the future.". The Blades' sanction, which begins from the start of the next season they are in the Championship, includes paying the EFL's legal costs of £310,455. The deferred payments, which were cumulatively in excess of 550 days, came during a campaign in which the club was managed by Paul Heckingbottom and finished runners-up to Burnley.
Bogle was bought by the blunts from Derby for £3.85m his value on transfermarkt.com is still only £3.8m and for me he is a bargain at £5m so get it done ffs, still well cheap for 24yo quality RB
Kristensen would be a beast at Championship level. He is big, strong, no nonsense, can get forward and score the odd goal. He has his limitations at the top level but let's face it, even Firpo looked decent at the back end of the season at this level and he is ****ing terrible.
If they really really want him then they will pay up. Sounds like Leeds are just trying their luck. A bit like Brighton with cheeky offers for Summerville and Rutter. We said no, they left the negotiating table. They might be back with bigger offers if they don't find anyone else.
It’ll be a great summer when we can get rid of Cree and Dan James as well. The golfers will get their cash back in first year of investment
