In what way? Thay confuses me because players like Le Fondre who must be nearly 40 was infront of him for them?
See my last post @Teessidemackem, might explain the situation at hibs last season better He was never given a chance there, the manager went with experienced lads as he was under a lot of pressure (sacked at end of the season)
Been so many players over the years who have been really poor in Scotland but come down south and have good careers. Mikey Johnston the latest one, shocking at Celtic but was arguably the best winger in the championship from January onwards. Shane Duffy another.
Not in my mindset mate. Every game the lads put the shirt on especially against inferior opposition should be taken seriously. We had lads out there today on thousands of pounds a week. Theres no excuse
You really can't take anything from the result, if that was a competitive game and we were chasing the game in the last stages we wouldn't take 7 players off for the u21 side. Patterns of play were pretty good once Matete was taken off and someone who can actually receive the ball on the half turn in Ekwah came on. Neil is probably our most important player this season though.
Also lads out there hoping they didn't pick up another injury. I must admit I wasn't impressed with Pembele, Matete and O9 at times. I think we desperately need another Ballard type player alongside Ballard himself. I'm not sure we can rely on Alese staying fit all season.
Only pre season but the way that right hand side of defence (pembele and onien) were targeted and exploited was a worry. I suppose Ballard was a big miss from that selection though. Good to see minutes for the long term absentees.
I just think the league is not similar to the championship in anyway and is full of ****house teams and a lot of anti football. Also they were struggling. Probably didn’t have time for mayenda
He isn't a winger either, if anything he is an inside (left) forward, which is what Amad played for us (but on the right), so unless you're going to cater perfectly to his game, and let's be honest we aren't going to do that, he should play as a striker.
He only made 4 starts and scored 3 goals in about 300 minutes of football, admittedly I didn’t watch him tbh but on paper it doesn’t look like he was THAT bad lol. Rangers fans talk out their arse 24/7 and look to blame whoever they can because they’re miles behind Celtic at the minute
