His first half performance last-night was much better in terms of staying further up the pitch, thought he played reasonably well, though he's clearly not at his best.Second half he went walkabout again and burned up any energy he had left. I think he'll start him in the match(to be fair I probably would to as he's still a potent threat)and see how he goes but I'm pretty certain he's not going to see out 90 minutes against a very capable Spain side. Huge,Huge, game this, and if we can find another performance like last-nights first half we've got a serious chance of lifting the trophy...It's gonna be a ****ing cracker!!
England have a number of problems, but they all have solutions that might work: No width on the left - play Shaw in place of Trippier, only partial fix but playing a left winger would require dropping Foden or Bellingham so not going to happen (and nor should it, I think). We struggle to break down a team that masses 11 players behind the ball - Spain are not going to do that, except maybe the last 15 mins if they're ahead. When there's more space in midfield we look much better as in second half last night. A centre forward with limited mobility - start Watkins, finally have someone in the six yard box when one of those crosses comes in. Not going to happen obvs.
I hope we win but even if not, two finals in three years is fantastic considering what happened in the previous 54. If we keep this up it's only a matter if time surely (but hopefully the wait ends this Sunday)
Behave better than Steverico did in Eddie Stobart's box at Newcastle, if it wasn't nailed down he was having it. It's a good job he didn't have a Swiss army knife as he was after unscrewing a picture of Shearer off the wall. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
It’s a final and form often goes out of the window. Who thought Man Utd would beat Man City in the cup final this year? A lot could come down to mental resilience, these Spanish teenagers might be very gifted but if we play like we can and put them under pressure will they respond? Most of our lads have been there before and should have the edge when it comes down to who handles the occasion better. Keep calm and carry on.
Arguably the better half last night came when Trippier was on and not Shaw (I actually thought Trippier had a very decent game last night) On the Kane/Watkins argument, Kane scored as many goals as Watkins last night (albeit under dubious circumstances) I’d start Kane and meddle as needed as the game progresses. Play as we did in the first half last night and we have a chance. Equally you’ve also got some decent subs to bring on when you needed.
Not since the 1960s i think, you may be thinking of Lamborghini who have made tractors for years and still do.
Ticket prices are falling now, the Spanish don’t travel in big numbers so they’re depending on England fans to keep demand high and most English flights are now fully booked. Tickets are available for £1,500 and are falling, probably be down to a grand by tomorrow. At the moment you can still fly from Humberside to Amsterdam and then get a train to Berlin, but the train journey alone is 5 1/2 hours.
Ferrari the car maker doesn't actually make them, but you can buy brand new Ferrari tractors made in Italy. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
