This stems purely from people not being able to appreciate villa's success last season.. they can't get over being relegated by them and them taking the piss. I simply gave emery and Villa credit.. Incidentally if England beat Spain ill give southgate credit.. I just don't think they've had a hard enough run to get excited about thing.
Before I finally take that old dirt nap and start pushing up daisies I'd quite like to witness our National team lifting a pot up in the air, whether it be Euro's or World Cup. Similarly I'd love to see the Toon do the same so I'll happily take whatever comes regardless of how that pans out. The footie this tournament has been dreadful save for the last game where we actually looked like we had a bit more about us than the previous games, given how shockingly bad that was that wasn't really a difficult feat to achieve. I'll be happy if we win on Sunday for reasons as stated above, **** we might even get a day off work because of it as well. I sure as **** ain't gonna start piping Safegate off like the media seem to be doing today if we win, we've been ****ing awful and his team selections and subs (when he finally gets round to it) have been just as bad. We got a tad lucky last night I feel, we might not be as fortunate come Sunday but it's a good excuse to watch yet more footy with a couple of jars and then we can all start to look forward to the proper footy starting in a months time!
