After the draw at the weekend we play Blackpool tonight. There may be a few changes but i dont think there will be many. It will be interesting to see if Sol Bamba comes back into the team. Is Andy King going to be up for it after the death of Gary Speed Does Lloyd Dyer deserve to keep his place aswell. I think they will be the 2 positions Nigel has to think about. This would be my team

    Schmeichel

    Peltier
    Mills
    Bamba
    Konchesky

    Gallagher
    Wellens
    King
    Danns

    Beckford
    Nugent

    Subs

Weale, St. Ledger, Dyer, Fernandes, Howard

I would like to see Fernandes come in for Kingy and Danns for Dyer tonight. Ledge is doing ok in my opinion so I see it as difficult to drop him.

Dyer's **** most of the time, Danns is **** most of the time. There's not a lot to choose from tbh. Dyer edges it for me - been involved in 2 decent results and if he decides to turn up he will have a far greater impact than Danns.

I'm not sure about St Ledger/Bamba, whatever Nigel chooses will be reasonable IMO.

Dyer is the only winger we have on the books. Franck Moussa doesnt get a look in and apart from Jeff Schlupp the academy look pretty crap

I would say the academy have done well over recent years in terms of success but then very few have then graduated to the first team which is puzzling. One academy winger we have is Jason Banton who we got from Liverpool (?) and came with a good reputation but a bit of a loose cannon. Whether he's ready or not I'm not sure but he has potential definitely. If Dyer were to get injured then we wouldn't really have anyone else to come in apart from Moussa who seems to have vanished from the picture and Banton. We desperately need to add in this position in January.

On tonight's game, the only change I would consider is Danns for King because Neil did well when he came on against Pompy and brings better energy and legs to the middle of the park & King seemed a bit anonymous throughout the game. Also, you never know what King's mental state is after what happened to Speed and it might just be safe to leave him on the bench then bring him on when he's had time to get his mind and focus right and he will come on with a point to prove and fired up to make a tribute to Speed. Dyer had a pretty good game against Pompy and St Ledger too so neither have performed badly enough to be dropped for me.

I can see Beckford thriving in this game. I think what he likes and thrives on is space in behind to run into and he'll probably get that against this Blackpool side.

I think he'll definitely stick with the 4-4-2 but I reckon with Nugent dropping off the front when they have the ball to get in and around Barry Ferguson who'll probably play the anchor role to stop them playing from the back. Then it'll be easier for us to break on them with Nugent linking attack and defence and Beckford running in behind trying to stretch the game.

I expect to see more of a counter-attacking game and with the pace of the likes of Beckford and Dyer especially we have ammunition to hit them quickly. But don't be surprised for large parts of the game to see us get men behind the ball and two solid banks of four to then set-up chances on the break.

2-0 to us with Beckford and King from the bench.

Have to say he gives us something extra, especially for set pieces which we are pretty crap at in general.

I saw leicester in the top six for a few minutes in the live table! When are the highlights shown for the games tonight anyone? If we win we could well put a run together and stay in the top six, who knows what this league beholds! UP THE FOXES

I just have confidence in Nigel- not once have we lost under him and felt worried unlike other managers.
