I think he's got some pretty good players around him in England - they're just not a team.

It would be amusing... But, no... I think if he won something he would leave on a high. He's not going to voluntarily leave until he wins. And the DA isn't going to remove him.

It’s a common theme, good club players not doing it at international level. I think it’s been more a feature under Southgate who has had a plethora of talent yet serves up such mediocre performances. He’s been saved by the quality of the opposition.

Not bad for a 16 year old. Hope Barca don’t ruin him by overplaying while still growing, kid could be very very special.

Basically 17, his birthday is in three days.

Been pointing him out for over a year already. Everyone knows about him now though

Anybody else and that performance tonight would be seen as average at best

The referee for tonight's game was accused of match fixing before. Is England safe?

German referee Felix Zwayer, 43, was previously criticised as corrupt by England star Jude Bellingham for having been previously involved in 'match-fixing'.

If I were him I'd just wait for the usual stupid dive in tackle from bellingham and I'd pop him.on a yellow after 5 mins.

I wouldn't take that **** from any big headed footballer.

That would leave him open to a second card if he opens his mouth, makes another dive, tackle, kicks the ball away. It'd be up to bellingham then to behave himself perfectly.

Well... We know how it's possible a Southgate team lost if England lose tonight.

If England beat the Netherlands @Germlands Nozzer I'm pretty sure (unless I've done the maths wrong somewhere) will score the most points and will be unbeatable. 19pts + potentially more for golden boot.

If Netherlands win... It will be unknown who will get the most points and will probably come down to Golden boot bonus points.

I’d like to know how the Netherlands got in this sweep on the “poor” side of the draw when they went into the tournament ranked quite highly :bandit:

Netherlands and Italy should have swapped places with Albania and Romania.

I'm expecting gareth to return to type for this one. He will just take out konsa and put in guehi and everyone else stays as is.

It took him 3 games to settle on trent to Gallagher to mainoo.

He cannot be expected to make more than one change

They were in the poor list because they were in pot C or D. How they ended up in pot C or D I don't know. Definitely lucky to get Netherlands as a "bad team".

Just one fluke away from the final! <ok>

Doesn't have to be pretty (it most certainly won't be pretty)... it just needs to be a sloppy, lucky, one-nil victory.

Germany/Netherlands is almost the strongest pairing that could occur. Still a lottery, mind.

England have to lose for me to gain points. (Always stuck on whether that should be have or has) :emoticon-0138-think
I think it’s one of those British v American grammar questions.

Yep, British = have, American = has. They see teams as singular, we see them as plural. Hence why they would say "Liverpool is the champion." And we would say "Liverpool are champions." @Turbia Milk to confirm. Same with companies, e.g. Apple is releasing a new iPhone vs Apple are releasing a new iPhone.

And it's not a lottery, it was pure skill on my part <whistle>
