What I love about the Spanish side is that every midfield player can accept the ball on the half turn and their first thought is to move the ball forward..... they're so comfortable in possession and can totally control the pace of the game..... and they also hit the passes with perfect pace.... lovely to watch....
I've said it before and I'll say it again, nobble Rodri and yiu can win the game. Its exactly the same with City, when he's not there, the fear in the remaining team mates eyes says it all. Everything goes through him and so many opposition attacks are halred by him. In my eyes he's easily the vest player in the world. If we do get through then Southgate has to prove his genius by telling someone to boot him in the achilles in the 1st minute and hope it's so early they only receive a yellow. Then the game is winnable !
Mbappé (and others) lofted most of his shots over the bar, given his skill level and experience he should have had more control. For their first goal (like Kane) he turned provider., likely a more fitting role going forward. Giroud is also past his prime as a viable goal scorer. That 16 yr old Spanish kid is the future.
