Awul night for us on the whole. poor performance and arsenal close the gap agaisnt a team they would usually get ruffled by. They seem to be picking up points that in previous seasons they would lose. Also our run coming up is pretty hard.
Stoke missed a chance tonight. Arsenal didn't play particularly well by the sounds of it and had a few of their best players out, Stoke also missed some decent chances. Bit disappointing.
Arsenal though got some costly injuries to Theo and Cesc so harldy a great night for them. For us the result was not bad as we always expect to win at OT. We are still in the tie so its not a bad result.
I tell you what, The Copenhagen game showed the new dimension Torres will add to Chelsea, Looking Very scary....
Torres has been poor all season and in fact for over 2 seasons. What should scare teams is Valencia coming back as with Nani and Valencia on the wings we look very strong.
Fixtures will be tough but even if we lose to both chelsea and liverpool but beat wigan we are still in the race so I don't see the issue. We could easly make back a 2 point deficit. That is imho worst case scenario for us.
as long as we beat wigan I dont mind losing one of them,I would rather win at the bridge tbh to end the run of failing to win there
A view that has gained popularity due to the fact that he's done well this season. He was poor on the left in past seasons but was also poor on the right. There is nothing to say that he wouldn't be equally good on the left and I am yet to hear one decent argument as to why he should fail on the left now. therefore, I would have Nani left and Valencia right when both fit as that is our best combination.
I'm not saying he'd fail on the left, just that he wouldn't be as effective. Although I don't know that for sure, seeing as he has hit form playing on the right.
Wengar its not about how Nani plays its about how well Man Utd do. I support Man Utd not Nani Utd. Valencia and Nani on the wings would be better than anything we are serving up and he played some great games last season against Milan and Bayern on the left.
yeah I know, but at least you can see that, and you aren't even a United fan! He has hit form playing on the right, there's no denying that and it has been a great thing for us. But he hasn't played on the left since hitting that form and he often played poorly on the right before the rise to form. It is for that reason that I get annoyed when United fans dismiss Valencia's claim to a place in our team and say Nani is clearly better on the right. Given that Nani is (almost) as profficient on his left foot as his right and he has tended to score with his left in recent times, I don't think it's a ridiculous suggestion at all.
I would take Nani at 90% and Valencia at 100% over Nani at 100% and anyone on the left wing as Nani at 90% would still be pretty dam hard to stop and Valencia, on the right, on form, would get assists galore.
We miss Valencia edge, I am a big fan of Nani but he has his flaws in his game to. Unlike Valencia he is a bit selfish which does not upset me at all but at the moment we lack the balance. Valencia on the right would always put a ball in and beat his marker but Nani rather cuts in and shoots. Having both together would be great and important and his return will be a big boost. However, its more than likely we will have to beat MAR before Valencia returns. So Park it is as he does a good job there and Nani right. We have a great chance to progress but we will be better at OT and I am certain of that.
