Can see it being 2 weaker teams tomorrow and quite an open attacking game. Going for 3-2 to the reds.

Hopefully Carrol will play and get a couple of goals. Thought he did ok when he came on against City and was unlucky with his header.

I think Kenny will stick with his choice to field a second string, should still be a good game though.

I had a cuppa with King Kennys daughter once! I was helping her to set up an interview scenario in a bar near SB. What a little dolly she was! All smiles and chat. I didn't have the heart to tell her I was a Blue!

Completely agree, Drogs. Kenny will use this to blood youth and fringe players. He's already said as much with his warning for our fans not to buy tickets for the match. I'd love us to win this and continue our good run of games but truth be told I doubt it will happen. I'm going for a 2-1 Chelsea victory, too. There was a thread asking where all doom-mongers are ... I'm back! Prophesying ... prophesising ... foretelling doom. Or maybe a draw. So long as we play balls out - I'm not bothered, really. No f***ing around!

    Rant over.

I reckon we'll see a 2nd side out tonight, with important players on the bench. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lucas and Suarez on the bench and Bellamy and Spearing starting.

I think Kenny might field a strong side tonight, our next league game isn't until Monday night. I can see Carroll, Bellamy and Carra starting though. <ok>

I guess it depends who recovers best following the weekend games gone rather than when the next game is.

Really excited by this as we will both be resting some, giving others a chance, etc. Could be a high scoring game. Looking forward to seeing Coates against Drogba/Torres, really test his metel a bit.

It is pretty much impossible to predict this game without having any idea on the line ups.

Liverpool's a little harder to predict but Chelsea will probably be similar to the Everton game in the last round. The team that day was:-

Chelsea (4-3-3): Turnbull; Ivanovic, Alex, David Luiz, Bertrand; McEachran, Romeu, Malouda, Anelka, Lukaku, Kalou

Might see the likes of Lampard or Mikel who didn't start at the weekend instead of say Rmoeu but I expect it to be similar to this team. Be nice to see Torres but doubt it.

I still have yet to see enough of Lukaku to see even a hint of the wonder kid tag he has. Not saying he isn't but I hope he plays as I want to see the " next Drogba" in action.

I'm expecting to see a backline of Robinson, Coates, Kelly and Flanagan in front of Doni. I also expect to see a central midfield pair of Lucas and Spearing, with Maxi and Downing in the wide positions, and Carroll and Bellamy up front.

As for the bench, I have no idea whether Kenny will make it a strong bench or filled with up-and-coming players (Sterling, Suso etc.)

    ------------------Doni-----------------------
    Flanagan--Coates-Kelly/Wilson--Robinson/Wilson
    Downing--Spearing--Lucas-----Maxi------
    ------------Carroll---Bellamy---------------

BTW, the expectation is down to the selections for the ressies against Sunderland. It saw Flanno and Coates get selection at the back, Wilson at LB and Spearing in midfield.
