There were cheaper options if I’d travel further, but I always planned to fly out for the game and immediately fly back, so I’d only miss one days work (I’m pretty much going from the game straight back to the airport).
Good to see the HDM has its finger on the pulse. “Hello everyone and welcome to the only important blog covering the only important sporting blog of the day. Forget the Euros and the Three Lions, who cares about Wimbledon? Super League, Hull KR and Catalans Dragons are the only event you need to know about today” A Euro free zone but when the RL World Cup is on with tiny crowds and no visiting fans it will have wall to wall coverage.
Agreed, but what's sadder is the fact it's the view of many, too many, in this city. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
True. 20 million or so watching on TV, fan zones in cities, not Hull of course, packed out. Pubs full. 40,00 in Düsseldorf and more in fans parks in Germany. Thousands of fans from every country involved, far more than get tickets, in Germany. Nothing in the HDM. I had a look at the Sheffield Star. on the front page of the website, not the main page there were articles on the two football clubs, an article about players from the English leagues in the Copa America America and 7 articles about the Euros. No doubt, as usual, some will defend the HDM website,
I genuinely don't understand you. England have just got through to a semi final, via a penalty shoot-out, and you're checking out local newspapers to complain about the lack of coverage.. you're actively searching for something to be unhappy about all the time, whether it's female commentators, stewarding or a long left behind website surviving on an advertising pittance. Life is too short.
I was reading it to see how Rovers got on and read that load of crap at the beginning of it. You carry on being unhappy at the low uptake of EV vehicles.
So, you are in favour of the total lack of coverage of a massive sporting event on the website of a local paper which will have wall to wall coverage of a rugby one there is no interest in? Fair enough.
