Huge improvement for me. Still too slow too often and lacking creativity but we look much more like a team and controlling game more like earlier in Southgate's tenure. One noticeable thing is we've maintained a higher position up the pitch. Similar to what I said about Saints at times last year I don't mind sidewards passing and keeping the ball when it's in your opponents third.

I agree with you in general but think he's slightly improved this tournament. Wouldn't be anywhere near first sub Generally though he's been awful for England and gets too many excuses made for him. I said pee tournament that if he doesn't have impact on this tournament I fear he never will.
