He is mate, but he doesn't seem to be able to find a club he can settle at or a position to play in. Hes jack of all trades, master of none. Abit like Gooch was
Seemed to relish scoring against SAFC. Was almost like the club had slighted him when he went to Arsenal at 16.
£4m reportedly. The sell on was originally 20% but they've been negotiated down to 10%. Pretty ****ty from the Prem clubs to be fair, but still game changing for Maidenhead.
4 million is **** all at that level but they have negotiated it down when it's such a big deal to a club like Maidenhead? Maidenhead shouldn't have budged on it and held out for the 20%!
I think the suggestion is that Wolves wouldn't sell at £40m (effectively £32m) and West Ham wouldn't pay an extra £5m to give Wolves what they wanted and Maidenhead to keep their 20%. I guess Maidenhead have decided that 10% of £40m is better than 20% of nothing.
I get that but it's a load of bollocks imo. One of the two would have budged and either paid the extra or accepted less, instead what they have done is went and took advantage of £4 million being too much for Maidenhead to gamble with!
@CR17 @LD19SAFC Surprised at the fee being so low, he might actually be worth the risk at that sort of fee, was expecting the bidding to start at 2m which would have been too much.
Yeah at that price would probably be worth the gamble, I saw figures around 2mil being rumoured not long ago which was too high imo.
Sell on clauses have the potential to provide a sort of draft system, where a larger amount of the money gets filtered down into the lower leagues. Maybe every young player contract should include one.
I think he's probably a 6-12 a season man at this level, which will cost you more than 750k these days.
Well worth the risk imo. 60 odd goals int the last two seasons no matter the league i bet he proves he can bag them with millwall too
Our strikers scored 3 goals combined last season, 1 for Burstow and 2 for Rusyn, food for thought if there are people turning their nose up at a 6-12 striker.
Rusyn had like 20 combined GA in 30 games the season before we signed him, Langstaff had 30 odd in 46 games but at a worse level. Think persisting with Rusyn is the better option but more should’ve been done to accommodate him by the sounds of it
New season for all the young lads who didn't quite do it last season they get another chance to do it!
