Careful if you're going to Greece - been a few tourist deaths from the heatwave following on from Michael Moseley...

 

Stavanger Norway, last few days, moving furthur north this evening.

 

Got a week off at the end of July but will just keep it local I think and try some new places to eat and drink.

You far enough north to see the Midnight sun ?

 

Unfortunately not, even though midnight isn't all that dark.

 

You must be pretty close the artic circle up there though ?

Back to reality mate

 

Walked up to the glacier, cruise ****ers everywhere, bit of lunch, then 3-4 hrs to the top of
Kattanakken.

 

Not a bad place to have a campsite, had worse views in a morning

 

Did you swim in that?

 

No mate, dipped a toe and it was fecking freezing, my mate went up to his ankles and got cramp in his foot within about 5 seconds

 

It's a lake mate - you can't pitch a tent in a lake

 

We were on a raft

 

Booked a few days in Budapest from the day of the Euros final so will watch Garuff lift the trophy from there.

Went a decade ago but can’t remember it. Anything to do? The baths obviously.

 

Eat some pike. Or perch.

They love to eat boney coarse fish.

Their red wine is decent too.

And yeah, that lake looks like hypothermia in about 30 seconds.
