Great game great result, Spain were lucky mind and almost blew it with poor decisions by the coach imo, but it does mean his wide men will be raring to go in the semis, I just hope he has Fab Ruiz my player of the tournament fit to play
There are lots of flair players and some great goals being scored which is what I like to see ... ... but my current 'Player of Euro24' is Pepe. What a f*ckin star this bloke is ... 60 year old, looks like a parking space clamper and probably knows gangsters. But he plays game after game, respects no one and has a real football brain. F*ck the model KLD, get the bloke signed and he'll become a cult hero by Christmas OG and red card incoming ....
Wish refs would card players for diving like they're supposed to, we'd see less of it if they were getting sent off for it.
Refs have bottled so much at this tournament. Nearly every game could have had a red card for diving, or reckless tackles from players already on yellows. Drives me mad.
I agree totally. Also a red, instead of a yellow, for someone grabbing a player, with both arms, to stop them going in on goal. A yellow is absolutely f*ck all but stops what every football fan wants to see. There's been way too much in this tournament.
The way Deschamps has used Griezmann in this tournament is criminal. France's most creative player, but they've gone for "functional" instead.
I’m hoping it’s 0-0 Backed the draw double tonight and on all 4 quarter finals to be level after 90 minutes!
Definitely too close to call and France have some incredible players... but I really love the balance of this Portugal team. A number 9 who isn't long passed his prime is all they're missing for me. They have so many intelligent footballers.
I have Portuguese friends near Carcassonne, in southern France ... ... they keep messaging asking if I think they'll win What should I say?
