Fair point, but interest rates were never going to stay that low forever. I still stand by my point, if you want a better life...make it yourself instead of just blaming the red or blue side of the political line. Kier cares no more for you as an individual then rishi did or any PM before or after them will. Kier will help his "friends" and people that will ultimately benefit him or his "friends" just as rishi did. We'll be paying more taxes under this incoming government as well.

Yes, we were promised, and so it came to pass, a bridge. They only forgot to tell us who would be paying for it.

Just seen the turnout was 60%.....4 in 10 of the electorate didn't wish to vote...What's that tell you?....No matter who you vote for the government always gets in...
Good luck to Labour. Hope they do a good job.

It isn’t. But having a drink is part of it like most countries. Why should a minority say anyone at a gathering can’t have a legal drink? Yet they don’t offer freedoms they demand here in Muslim countries.

An old school friend posted on FB the other day about being skint, needing to use a food bank and struggling to pay for a school trip for their twins..... That same person a couple of weeks before posted pics from a VW garage picking up a brand new car and has also been on a 10 day all inclusive break in Greece recently.

Some people really do need and also deserve help. But some just have a piss poor priority list

Going by the many posts telling people about their frequent foreign holidays and trips to concerts it would appear a lot of people on here are hardly suffering.

I was surprised at the number of cars at a local food bank. Maybe, not daft. The money saved dashing around food banks pays for the car?

I volunteer at a food bank, the general view is that, yes, some people try it on but it's a minority and you can't really stop it but a lot of people who need it do get it. And, either way, it's better than the food going to waste.

My wife used to do voluntary work in a soup kitchen for the homeless up in Partick(Glasgow) every Saturday morning. Before she set off every week I religiously gave her a £20 note and told her to buy bread rolls from Tesco...This went on for a good year until she discovered that some of the 'homeless' who grabbed half a dozen rolls on their way out lived locally and were filling their crops for nothing...Because they could!!!

    Greedy Bastards!!!
