Love it how I tried to make you out to be a **** and now you’ve turned it on me and now I look a ****. Well played.
I actually dont use my blue badge, though technically I am allowed to. I can still walk far enough not to need to use the disabled bays, at least for now. My brother has one though, his FSHD is worse than mine, even though I was diagnosed first.
Think they were also talking about letting Brits who live overseas vote. That would even things up as they will all vote Conservative. Presumably that idea will ll be dropped when Labour get in.
Tbph I got no problem with anyone voting, whether overseas or younger people, as long as it's not done to rig an election. I've not really looked into any of it deep enough, maybe I should but I can't be arsed - it's just when I see people shouting for certain changes in the system, I just look at those doing the shouting and think hmmm.
The Green Party in this country is just a bunch of ****wits, especially that Caroline Lucas, so I would never vote for them. I've done those tests in the past, years ago, so I knew I was Libertarian. On Saf's test I was miles away from any of the political parties except Greens.
First time vote for my youngest tonight ... she's a student and she (and apparently all her mates) will not be voting Tory
Heard today someone say his concern with Labour is the electorate really wants change, many of them will expect it from Labour, but their manifesto isn't really offering much. So they'll have a very vast electorate, but not a very loyal one.
They've done a pretty good job of managing expectations I think, so they'll have a brief period of grace. They'll have to deliver real improvements to people's lives in the course of this parliament though. Restoring faith in politics is one of their missions, and that'll only happen with tangible improvement to public services, and progress on the cost of living crisis, which given the desperate mess they're inheriting, won't be easy to achieve.
This David Dimbleby alluded to it the other night. The country is in a mess after 14 years of this lot. Crumbling public services, massive NHS waiting lists, huge deficit, lack of investment, bent rules for the rich and a pervasive culture of blaming society's voiceless, and immigrants for the problems, which has been allowed to fester under this lot and which has given rise to Farage. It's not going to be an easy or a quick fix. I just want to see steps in the right direction to start with and even if that is just arresting the rot and starting afresh.
