When Conservative supporters can only come back with 'Yes but, they're all the same' you know they've accepted defeat. If that actually was the case why do they always vote Conservative
Integrity? This is the bloke who has went back on 8 of his 10 pledges when he ran for the labour party leader and has flip flopped on almost any issue he has dealt with politically in these 5 years, I wouldn’t trust this bloke one bit with anything
Bit old news that marra, once he gained control and rid Labour of Corbyn, those 10 pledges were bound to be changed/reviewed. You didn't expect him to run with the Corbyn left agenda? Starmer has grabbed the center ground and his stance on issues was bound to change to adapt.
That's a bit of bad luck you're having there ... ... the difference is that he's changed and realigned his views before he got into power. He hasn't been dealt with by the police for having lockdown parties and laughing at the electorate. I suppose it's the definition of 'integrity' that's the question. If Labour break promises while in power I'll be just as annoyed, the party is irrelevant to me. Only the Tory PMs have broken the law, crashed the economy and elected PMs without any elections.
I've listened to Starmer and can hear the integrity in his voice, not something I've heard in a long time (possibly May excluded). I believe Starmers integrity won't allow other Labour MPs to put his reputation of being a barrister on the line.
I know that it doesn't look like him, but this is Starmer, with a likely scenario please log in to view this image . . . . and this is him rehearsing what he'll be saying to R(w)ishy Washy tomorrow please log in to view this image
I equate the election with the last month or two at our beloved club. Years of depression and deprivement seems soon to be a thing of the past as a relatively unknown new ‘coach’ now comes in to take the reins and march the club/country forward to a bright new future for the patient & much abused working folk of Great Britain. The most reassuring argument in anticipation of a huge labour majority is that in four years time no-one will be under the illusion that Labour can govern any less chaotically than the tories have. Time for change. Change can only come from reform of our out dated election process. A form of PR will allow us plebs to vote for which agenda suits us best with the knowledge that our vote will count. When 39% of the vote gives 80% of parliament power that is not democracy.
That may be true but we will only find out over the coming few years unless you are Marty McFly ) There is definitely an argument however that the FPTP method has both advantages and disadvantages, same for proportional representation. It's an interesting debate. These are pretty good, from about 10 years ago but the advantages and disadvantages remain the same. https://uk-engage.org/2013/06/what-...sing-the-first-past-the-post-voting-system-2/ https://uk-engage.org/2013/08/what-...portional-representation-pr-electoral-system/ As always it's impossible to please everyone however. I do think we need to modernise our system as some parts are definitely based more on tradition rather than being effective.
Are you allowed to put the note “and don’t let the fooking door hit your arse on the way out you Tory ****s” beside your vote. Asking for a friend.
If it hasn’t been posted yet, here’s a bit of political fun (if that’s even a thing) Not one bit of blue I might add for me https://voteforpolicies.org.uk/ please log in to view this image
