The price of goalkeepers is definitely going up!

Not only is that save one of the best I have ever seen, but in that context too! The final moment of one of Turkey's biggest ever games. Huge!

1974 (West) Germany v The Netherlands, World Cup Final. 2024 Euro Final, the sequel?

Sabitzer almost had his eye taken out by a coin. Disgusting behaviour from those "fans".

The two English referees are obviously doing something right as they have been given the two QF's on Friday - Taylor is refereeing Spain v Germany and Oliver is refereeing France v Portugal. Both have had strong tournaments and deserve these games.

Or maybe they are there to help us if we reach the Final, by making sure France & Spain are eliminated <laugh>

(though need help in Germany v Portugal in semi too as out of those 4, Portugal are surely the one anyone from our side of the draw will want)

Sounds like Southgate is going "to do a Russell" and change to three at the back. Could be a Koeman moment, as much as a Russell moment.

Wouldn't mind that. I think the personnel England have would suit that - TAA and Saka as wing backs, Walker, Stones and Konsa as the 3 CB's. Rice, Mainoo and Bellingham as the midfield with Kane and Foden up top (Foden having a free role behind Kane).

It solves the issue of Walker having a mare as right back but I don't think it really fixes the left hand side at all. Will we end up with Saka at left back?

TAA obviously comes in at right back with Walker dropping into CB. 5-2-3?

Saka would be pretty good as a LWB IMO.

Saka as LWB (or Eze) would be fine.

Reasonable. Though he did say at the start of the Euros that he is not a left back and did not feel like he could play there...

LWB is a different role to a LB. Saka would more license to go forward and less responsibility to defend.

Wing back he’d be fine. And tough tits, if that’s where you’re needed, that’s where you’ll play.

That's right Gareth. And while you're at it tell that Ivan Toney he'll get to play when you say so, and stop bleating to the media about it.
