100%. They just needed more noise about immigration and a loudmouth in charge. Too much emphasis on environment, which is a global issue with our efforts utterly insignificant, and - weirdly - disability. Their policies on housing and banking are spot on, though “hire 8000 GPs” is fanciful at best.

Environment isn't an international issue when British companies are pumping sewage in lakes and rivers.

Ffs people in this country need to wake up.

It ain't Greta Thunbergs place to stop them shoveling human **** into the Tyne.

"Boring, what about that polish guy who moved to London!!!!"

"Weirdly disability" ffs Roland. Homecare is a disgrace in the United Kingdom, these people need support. There are people caring for their family members, their kids, that cannot survive. How is that a weird issue to focus on, god ****ing speed to Ed Davey for bringing it to the forefront.

Whilst that repulsive tortoise farage chats about Romanians.

GP’s would be easy if they stopped newly qualified doctors with outstanding student loans from going into banking. Not sure if the legalities of a move like this in this day and age.

They need to go back on the bollocks Blair brought in and bring in slicker, on the job and vocational pathways.

I know two qualified GPs who do not have placements. It's not necessarily a lack of GPs, it's the lack of budget for local surgeries to employ them. In many cases, local surgeries are now hiring 2x practice nurses instead of 1x fully qualified GP due to costs. So after 7+ years of medical qualifications and intern placements, there is no guarantee of GPs getting work.

****ed. And un-****ing it is a job far, far beyond the capabilities of literally everyone in this election.

And who is going to bring the disenfranchised young lot back? ****ing Starmer?! Don’t make me laugh.

The only solution would almost be a dissolution of the current parliamentary model and a complete reform of democracy to make things actually democratic.

The current form of UK party politics is just a joke. It needs a complete rethink, but that will simply never happen in my lifetime as they are all in it for themselves.

Best way to do it is incentivize them rather than penalise them. So government pays off their loans as long as they spend 5 years as a GP.

The public are also just not aware of anything.

The average Brit has no idea what the British electoral system even is, ask them what "First past the post is" they haven't got a clue. They THINK it's PR, proportional representation, but it isn't.

I know people who have been voting for ****ing YEARS and have no idea that their vote is for the MP not the actual national party, despite the fact the MPs name is on the ballot, a ballot they don't read.

We go on and on about our democracy in the UK but I think our democracy is pathetic. Voting intention is appalling, most people follow politics in the US more closely and care nothing for local British issues bar immigration.

That's been obvious for months, the Tories are going to be smashed to pieces.

The interesting thing tonight is if the Liberal Democrats get enough seats to finish second, not who wins the election.

I said on the prem board:

    Labour 450
    Tories 100
    Lib Dems 55

but apparently the Tories could get as low as

    75

    lib dems
