Don't see that happening. Labour should gain a large majority Having listen to alot of interviews of regular people in the last 6 weeks, the traditional Tory vote will shift to Reform My biggest fear is that the Tories collapse too far, Not that a Tory Collapse wouldn't be funny, but it would let Reform in and give them the credibility they don't deserve. Having that Toad faced **** actually as an MP would be terrible.
It's never ever going to be hung. The tories will get more than 100 Reform will get piss all barring a massive protest moving them from 3 or 4 to 10 even. The lib dems will maybe pick up a reasonable haul based on get the tories out campaign so will be on 60 odd so thst would be a coalition right three. After that the snp are one of those that you wonder about given their utter corruption being proven and a poor poor leader this election has caught them bit they will also have 30 odd. Even with a sudden Tory surge labour are likely to have a 100 seat majority on their very worst day. In the absolutely nightmare scenario that somehow every **** forgets the last 14 years and decides total corruption is fine as long as I pay no more tax the collapse of snp support means there's labour seats coming.
Final poll has Labour 431 Tory 102 Lib Dem 72 SNP 18 Reform 3 Plaid 3 Green 2 Obviously this doesn't include NI, where the parties are just a confusing oddity
Pretty good for lib dems. Pretty much end of socttish independence for a generation. Their corruption is like mini.tory level. I personally find it sad that that greens can't muster more than a bunch of fascist racists. If you are going to protest surely you protest about something real like climate disaster ruined our summers even if it really just means voting for a bunch of libtard pinko lefties loons. To vote for openly racists fascist as a protest cos you dont like Labour for some beaten in stupid facile nonsensical reason is pretty stupid imo. The reality of this Labour party is they've pushed the corbyn left wing and are Blair lite centrists. You are getting new Labour, new Tony here and I don't recall the 2000s being all that bad. Still the fact the greens cannot muster a shred of a vote while half the gobshites who might to be campaigning are too busy painting stone hedge orange in tribute to Donald trump just says it all about climate activists.
I think your problem there is that while these people say it's a 'protest' vote against the Tories and that they can't vote for Labour, what they really mean is that they secretly like Reform. It's not really a protest, they are bigoted ****s who have bought the lies about immigration and think all the immigrants are coming over on the small boats (when in reality most are staffing the NHS and schools). Secretly they'd love to go back to calling all Asian people P*ki's, cause that's what they've always said and aren't using it to be racist. If you are going to vote Reform, it wouldn't have been because you been swayed in the last 6 weeks, this election has just given them the excuse to vote the way they've always wanted but have been too ashamed to do so in the past.
Said for a while that problem is it’s a career so people always wanting to get ahead rather than actually being the best in their field Minister for education gets moved to health… was neither a teacher or a doctor. That’s like the finance director being moved to the Operational Director having absolutely no engineering knowledge or background. Woukdnt do it at a company earning money so how does it make sense in politics? Add in that because of this 2 sides are constantly fighting to be seen as the best, rather than actually using what brains they have to come up with ideas that actually suit everyone. Can’t tell me that 1 sides ideas are always better than the other and visa versa, some cross party collaboration would always work best for the common person but just doesn’t happen.
I agree... And as much as I think Labour are better off governing than Conservatives... I don't think a landslide is the best outcome. No good comes from one party having too much power.
Politics is like the court system. By thier nature both are adversarial. One side must defeat everything and anything brought up by the other. It's in the genes of the system. The biggest single reason to change sides regularly is to stop them going and doing what the tories have done which is be like pigs round a trough of slops. If they become too comfortable that the once a 5 year hassle of a vote is locked in then why not take some for yourself. You'll get in anyway. The sad truth is their own parties won't fire them out of a constituency and replace them when (not if) they are found out to have awarded a mate a billion pound contract for no service. In ye olden days a minister would be found to have a minor scandal like groping his secretary on camera while covid was going on and said minister would immediately resign and be looked after to have the show of proprietary conduct. Now the tories have made it a badge of honour to be corrupt and none would resign
That cuts both ways - it's equally useless one party not having enough power to get its ideas through. It would be great if the opposition were providing a counter-balance to the governing party's excesses, but in reality they just routinely oppose everything and make it harder for anything to get done.
And this right here is why America is going backwards. One side just cancels the other out and nothing ever really is achieved, leaving everything standing still and eventually left behind.
clearly not….there is more conflict now than in a long time. Unless you mean the big one….and then we won’t have to worry about anything
Big wars then. Not small far away wars thst don't worry the snouts in the trough. You want a really big war that scares themselves so much they work together.
Well the isrealis have tried this and it worked for a while they all got together to murder as many Palestinians as possible and only recently has one walk out on the slaughter. Politics is adversarial. Unless there's a bigger threat to each sides existence.
62 minutes more amd we can all go back to being serfs to another political.master for 5 years. The thought anyone really thinks it'd be terrible if the "other side" gets in while their own side is rampantly corrupt is bizarre to me. In general very little will change as it takes a long time to turn a ship about
