I knew next to nothing about all of the alleged candidates for the job, all I hope is Reggie is the best one!
Most people don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of European football coaches. That's why we have to hope he was on the initial list and researched properly rather than someone we could have picked ourselves after a couple of hours of googling.
Not too sure about that marra, some people seem to know the smallest details about potential coaches and players, I just dont.

Maybe mate. But some on here do work inside of football and will therefore know him. Others are footy obsessives and will know him. He was managing in one of the 5 so called top leagues in Europe too. Getting to know football coaches and players is far easier to do now than it was years gone by. You just need either the interest or the requirement to do it.
Played two different systems in his two years at Lorient. First system sounds great going forwards if a bit scary in defence. Second system sounds like a middle finger up at the owners who wouldn't let him leave to be honest.
I honestly think drawing the link between two French individuals might actually be too complex a thought for Montgomery.
