Jude Bellingham is alleged to have grabbed his crotch after celebrating his stoppage-time equaliser against Slovakia, which he has denied was aimed at his opponents. Uefa has confirmed it has launched a disciplinary investigation into the alleged gesture. "An Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English Football Association player, Jude Bellingham, having allegedly occurred in the scope of this match," said Uefa in a statement. The laws of the game rule that any “obscene gesture” or “offensive or insulting action” should be punishable by a red card. Bellingham posted on social media, external, before the investigation was announced, saying: "[It was] an inside-joke gesture towards some close friends who were at the game. Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight." Click here to read more on this developing
Unlike FIFA who allowed the Argentinian goalie to use the goalkeeper of the tournament trophy to use it as his dick extension.
Yes,he directed a Michael Jackson 'crotch' grab at some or other person after scoring in a 'Thriller'.Personally I don't think it was 'Bad' but if UEFA do try to punish him they can 'Beat it'....
In that case they'll probably ban Bellingham....As his contribution, thus far, other than the two goals, has been minimal would England miss him? Bellingham should just say his bellend was sore...
It's just the draw. Germany v Spain and Portugal v France that's going to knock out at least 2 of the other favourites and then those two play each other knocking out another. That said i don't see the Swiss as an easy game for us....
I didn't watch the game live, I think I have Covid or something similar, feel like ****, but watched the full game afterwards, I have to say it was very slow and similar to Liam's style. Slovakia were much quicker moving that ball forward, and they must feel gutted, as they were the better team IMO, but in the end moments in games can change things. Cracking goal by Bellingham, and I guess we are though to the next round and that is all that matters. I said when McGuire was left out that 352 might be a better option, and now with Guehi out for the next game, maybe that is the best formation. I liked Toney when he came on, and up front with Kane would certainly keep the opposing team's centre back busy. I would go with Gordon on the left and Bowen on the right of midfield.with Rice/Bellingham.Mainoo in midfield. By the way, was a mistake leaving Grealish at home IMO.
At least we scored 2 fair and honest goals to go through and weren’t saved by dubious decisions from the officials. I think that’s important because should we end up with glory we won’t be looking back at this moment and knowing we didn’t deserve it.
Felt like **** watching the game live, speedy recovery John. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Jude Bellingham will be allowed to play for England in its crucial match against Switzerland - and the rest of the Euro 2024 tournament - despite a controversial goal celebration. The England star was investigated by UEFA over a gesture he made during England's game against Slovakia - after he scored an equaliser in injury time to keep the Three Lions' hopes alive. He has been given a one-match ban - but that is "subject to a probationary period of one year, starting from the date of the present decision". This means the ban will only apply if there is a further incident in the next year. He has been fined a total of €30,000 (£25,400).
