Uploaded his CV on Indeed and once he'd saved up enough to get an Easy Jet into NCL and an Uber to Sunderland, had an interview for Janitors job and impressed so much they offered him the managers gig.

 

Don’t know why you guys are knocking him. He seems to tick a lot of the boxes:

After working his way up at Lorient, he spent two years in charge of the first team, achieving their highest top-flight finish in Ligue 1 before overseeing relegation to Ligue 2 last season.

 

Employing a manager with the surname Debris or summat that rhymes with it is mackemesque as f*ck!

With this one starting pre-season he has a good chance of making the top 5 longest serving manager list.

Although I wouldn’t put it past them to start calling for his head if the pre-season friendlies don’t go their way.
