This one just seems totally bizarre, I'm struggling to make any sense of it. Such an odd time to be trying to do business for a player who is away on international duty. Regardless of any FFP restrictions. We have plenty of other players could sell instead.
I absolutely agree but it does seem like we have **** the bed and panicked and tried to cash in. It doesn’t make any sense and the silence from the club is weird. If we don’t sell anyone by the end of tomorrow everything is ok.

The wording is interesting... if it was Newcastle failing to sign a player the headline would be something like Newcastle fail in attempt or Newcastle can't afford
