How do you think this is gonna go lads ? As a Chelsea fan I think the biggest compliment I can give your team is that for the first time in ages we are actually looking out for your results as they affect us at the moment !Very very well done for an amazing start to your season and for getting a massive club back where they belong and I wish you the very best for the season, after Saturday of course !:grin:

Could go anyway this one. Really is too tight to call, but I fancy our chances of getting something out of this game, maybe even a win!

Should be a good game, we seem to be on the crest of a wave at the moment and able hold our own with anybody.

I'm going for a 2-1 win for us. Chelsea have been jittery and I'm hoping it continues.

<laugh> You are one in a billion mate!

Back on topic. You guys have not had a great record as of late up at ours and with our new found confidence, I would like to think we can get a win however a draw would be acceptable!

You can get us to win at 3/1 for this game! I am going to have an accumulator on with that in it I think!

I think it will be a draw and I'd be quite happy with that tbh.

I'm very glad Chelsea won their last game, because I think it would have been just too much to expect for Chelsea's bad streak to continue through last week and into this week. They simply wouldn't let it get that far.

However, now they have won, the pressure and the 'make or break situation' is off them slightly and we can exploit that.

We've kept out better attack forces on better form than Chelsea's. Man City only managed to score one against us in actual open play, and that was due to a defensive error by Ryan Taylor. Because of that, if we play at our best with the fans behind us, Chelsea will have to pull out some special stuff to seal the 2 or 3 goals which would probably provide a win, as I think we'll score one or two of our own. Chelsea's defence is looking a little suspect at the moment.

Another good thing is that we seem to love the underdog card. We ALWAYS underestimate lower teams, but we play our very best games when we're facing good sides who are expected to beat us. I suspect the same will happen in the Chelsea game.

I never ever bet on us. I would never know how to call it plus I am naturally deluded/optimistic and would bet us to win most matches!

Take out the three penalties we have conceded this season in the league and we have conceded just 9 goals in 13 games from open play and in that time we have played Man City and Man Utd away, as well as Tottenham and Arsenal at home. For me, that is outstanding!

A draw is very likely but with both sides having players bound to make defensive blunders and depending on ref decisions either side can easily win it ...<cool> Maybe 3-1 for us Ba and Obertan on the scoresheet <laugh>

I think we could get something from this game if we can sort our set piece defending out. From open play, we're one of the best defending teams in the league which seems so weird to say as it's the first defence I've ever had confidence in in my life.

    Goals we've conceded this season:

    Fulham - set piece
    Villa - open play
    Blackburn - open play
    Wolves - open play
Spurs - pen and open play
    Stoke - pen
    Everton - set piece
Man City - 2 pens, and 1 mistake
Man Utd - sort of set piece

So out of 12 goals, 5 have been conceded from open play including the one against City where Taylor should have done better. Far too many penalties there for my liking too, we shouldn't be giving people that sort of advantage. Chelsea like their set pieces so I think there's some work to be done. Don't be fooled by the the fact that we've only conceded three goals from that situation, I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't watch when the other side get a corner or free kick!

Forgot about the penalty against Stoke. Make that 8 goals conceded in 13 games excluding penalties!
