Short answer : "Yes" "Temporary transfer from a club outside England to a club within England Any player joining an English club on loan from a club outside of England (including the Home Associations) must meet the requirements for either automatic or discretionary endorsement (as set out 2.1 and 2.2 above) and therefore an application must be submitted to The FA." "Automatic or discretionary endorsement" refers to the issuing of a GBE (Governing Body Endorsement), which must accompany any application to the Home Office for a work permit. "As set out 2.1 and 2.2 above" refers to the requirements in terms of match appearances in qualifying leagues/competitions without meeting which no GBE will be issued.
As you are undoubtedly aware Ratcliffe bought my local team when he moved to tax-free Monaco. He couldn't buy Monaco FC so he bought Nice which is only a few miles down the road. He never was a good owner but since he has bought into Manure he really has no interest in Nice any more. Is that just Ratcliffe or the danger of people who have big stakes in more than one Club and concentrate on the bigger Club?
The Watford owner also has Udinese in Italy & Granada in Spain. When Watford were a premier league side players were loaned to England to put in the shop window & sold on at a profit . The baseball American is a businessman & is interested purely in making money from us . If that's from the mega bucks TV money in the Premier league then great, in the second tier he'll be wanting to sell property owned by the club to pay himself back . Be that acres of untouched land or our best players . Asset stripping basically. Since he invested in shares I'm yet to see any positives other than Delia being too old to be majority share holder.
