We were linked with him last summer I think. We have a track record of going for players that we have been linked with over several windows, so might be something in it.

 

He's pretty adept at helping a smooth transition into the box I hear.

Stock tactics

 

Thing for me is there's clearly plenty of talent knocking about. Unknowns at the likes of Georgia, Austria, Albania have all had good moments - the Slovenian 2 Karnicnik looked decent - and whilst I wouldn't advocate buying on the back of a single tournament, there's so much talent out there that it constantly seems insane that we pay so much for players like Barnes, Livramento, Hall and - potentially - DCL, Kilman, etc.

 

We have brought in a lot of top young talent so long term wise we’ll reap those rewards including the signing of this young Serbian.

I think the youth policy is coming along really well, and in time we can reap the kind of benefits only the usual suspects have had. I’m purely talking about first team in the last 18 months.
