A thread erupted on here overnight which appears to have caused a lot of trouble. It seems to involve both the general chat lot and someone posting sick stuff about Hillsborough and Munich. Quite a few well-established members, mainly from this forum, have said they're considering leaving. In order that we all know where we stand, can any of you who are considering leaving this site please post on here and let us know. Equally, if you're deffo staying, let us know on here. It will help if all this information is on one thread and not scattered everywhere. Thank you.
Hey up mate I really like our board, I havent been posting lots due to ****ty work but read everyday. I'm also on JA under the same name but to be honest I find these pages alot more of a close knit community (LFC fans), where more intellignet conversations happen JA is okay, and I will still post there but I do prefer these pages. JA has alot of childish wums, I like banter but some of the stuff on JA is ridiculous But anyhow, i'm staying but will still post on here + JA Why dont they just get rid of the Genral chat boards? I dont look at them personally, I saw the other thread you're talking about and im sure that the sick bastard in question will be banned. What a prick
I'll be staying. Stuck through this site thick and thin all the way back since Jan. There were annoying wums who made fun of disasters on old 606 too but unless people complain en masse to syd and mick about a particular user or thread what do people expect them to do? They're not pshycic.
i have not seens said thread so have no clue what went on, this is a question for clarity. did the super moderators not stop this activity and punish offenders? Is that why guys want to go?
Just saw the thread and GC. always the minority who ruin it for the rest. Seems Micks running out of patience with his idea of an unmoderated eutopia though - finally.
I understand Syd has jacked it in. Page Moss and others have indicated there is a chance they will go elsewhere. If there is to be an exodus, we all need to know about it.
if JA is the alternative then I'm not interested. Everything about it is wrong. It's like the old 606, but worse.
I'm with MITO on this - I didn't see the thread and have no interest in reading the puerile ramblings of some sick little ****ers who have only one interest - causing problems. I'm also a member of JA606 but I prefer to post on here - when I get any time to post at all. I tend to confine my activity just to the Liverpool board anyway, general chat doesn't interest me.
Reds are welcome to come to my mini-site as an interim, should all want to decamp elsewhere. Its a place for the ex-Wunterers from old 606 to meet up and discuss which sites we're posting at and whether they're any good. No mods as such, other than me. No no no, JA is not an alternative to this, this LFC page is loads better. I also like looking at the horse racing pages on here too I only really post on JA as there are a couple of old ppl on there form the BBC 606
Alright lads, just come over to say that a lot of us NUFC lot are undecided. A handful of us have left just to check out somewhere else, but most of us are giving it a go here still. Got a bit too crazy last night (any mods wanna check out the state of our first 3 pages.. littered with deleted threads ) but this is the best forum round by a mile (bar GC, of course) so I'd rather stay. Hope we're all good
Calm down people. There is some sick **** on GC and although it may not be the answer the best thing to do is avoid GC. I think the mods do a good job on here. There's some excellent posters and a good little 'community' which wouldn't have come around in the first place if they hadn't been doing their 'job'. Don't let the minority ruin it for the majority - just ignore the ****ers
I won't be leaving over a few idiot's on GC it has alway's been harsh on there and if your easily offended then stay away from it, I think the Gary Speed joke's were the final straw for a lot of people but IMO the place has alway's been in the gutter and need's a few rule's.
I think everyone needs to calm down and take a deep breath. Mick has made a general forum uncut for the GC lot so this has been resolved.
I always stay on the LFC board i do not bother with GC there are some proper A....holes on there.I am surprised that something has not been done against that small minority by the mods.I like this site and will continue to post on it.
What you don't know wont hurt you. I never go to the GC board and I only hear about the vile things posted there when a poster comes to whine about it on the Liverpool board. Just avoid it!!!!! I believe majority of the posters here are adults and you should be able to filter out what is good and whats not. The Liverpool forum here is very nice as compared to JA and it should stay that way. The only good thing about JA is the match threads(they tend to have more activity) and Dave Pundits predictions.
I never go on GC and would have known nothing about the issues in question if they hadn't spilled over onto here. I'm all for a bit of friendly banter but life's too short to go playing spot the brain-cell with a bunch of childish idiots. We have a mostly decent community of posters on here and I agree with those who've said don't let the birdbrains drive the rest of us away. I intend to stay- as long as I'm not talking to myself....
