theres not a single 3pm championship opening game i ****ing detest sky opening weekend is always great, its split over 4 ****ing days just **** off
Tend to agree....Its right ****e. Plus the number of international breaks...One in September, October and November, then one again in March, too many.
I think once we see the obliteration of the traditional Saturday 15.00 hrs kick offs by sky when they publish the games to be televised . A lot more of us will be up in arms, I reckon our decades old Saturday rituals will be gone for good .
Sky aren’t stupid. They’re pushing the fans to choose between keeping 3pm kick offs or the blackout. By my logic you have a roughly 50:50 chance being on sky each matchday as they’ve said they’ll show 5 every week. Think I read every team is on minimum 24 times a season. Teams near the top will get on frequently. I bet Leeds don’t see a 3pm kick off all season. It will cause a split
Unfortunately (or not depending on your point of view) Sky pay the piper, so Sky call the tune...and the Football world dances to it
I've just booked a meeting in London on the 8th so it looks like I can get a train up to Hull on Friday and see the opening game of the season for the first time in......well ages anyway. Anyone know when the tickets come out?
Anybody know given the new deal with Sky whats happening with Tigers +. If overseas are all the games still going to be available on Tigers + (some like last season only available in countries where sky does not broadcast the games-Luxembourg etc.)
Of all the clubs for it to repeatedly happen. They already fall for the rugby town myth hook line and sinker
I tell you what. If we are thereabouts come the end of Feb, that run in will make automatic promotion a real possibility. edit: assuming we sign at least 10 decent players before the end of August and have a good Jan window.
A few changes for Sky https://www.efl.com/news/2024/july/...-selections-confirmed-until-end-of-september/ 24 August - Millwall (H) now Saturday12.30 13 September- Sheffield United (H) now a Friday 8pm 20 September- Stoke (A) now a Friday 8pm
And tossers pay Sky then complain about them. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Would be quite happy to see a return to clubs funding themselves. Love or loathe Man Utd they built themselves up into the main club by being well supported with a large fan base. I wouldn’t mind a return to those days where in the 1960s and early 1970s quite a number of clubs supporters thought that they were in with a shout that season. Back then if you wanted to see a club you went to see them or saw brief highlights. Now the money comes from people sat at home paying to watch clubs they have no connection to and are quite happy to pay if it means their clubs can pay ridiculous transfers and wages to outbid the opposition. Can’t see any resolution to it all, unfortunately.
As a passholder of 30+ years this could quite well be my last season, cant make sat 12.30 games and cant be arsed with friday 8pm games
