Palmer complete dive of running into opponents backs and flop and ref gives it.

    Really poor ref.

Every player who hits the ground get s a free.

Gordon given 1 Minute plus injury time to show what he can do.

That'll be his "reward" for making the squad.

First touch kicks it out of play by trying to be positive.

Slovenia celebrate like they won the tournament.

    Good for them I suppose.

It's still 0-0 in the other game and nearly up.

Compared to the I don't really care display by Palmer sure.

He ran about. He tried to be positive.

I can't believe kane passed that one rather than hit it.

That performance has just reminded me why I haven't watched England for about 15 years. After this tournament never again.

Always the same with England; picking the players rather than a team. Add Southgate and his impending misery of negative football and it makes for wonderful viewing.

Thing is, it's exactly what I expected to see. I'm not frustrated with what's happening on the pitch, I'm frustrated at what it could have been under a different (not right, just different) manager!

They're is no passion, fight, heart or desire. As a result, the country are not behind the team and it's just flat. Again, so frustrating on what it could have been.

England won their group- and ended up on the "easy side" of the brackets. Group C was really dire though. The teams in group C managed just slightly over half a goal each per game (0.58). No team in the group scored more than 2 goals.

IF England find their feet (and historically England has always been slow to find their feet in a cup)- theoretically we're more likely to win the cup now. (we won't)

England top the group and now have a route to the semi finals.

    Last 16 3rd place in groups d, e or f.

Quarters I'd not really fancy that England side against Switzerland or Italy but they are not much good either.

If you then look to the semi final this has now worked out to be Austria, Turkey, Belgium. Something like thst.

There's nothing too scary from what I've seen so far bar turkey actually playing well again.

This has opened right up with a few odd results bit England are certainly not head amd shoulders over anyone here.

I'm not a betting man... (not just because it's illegal here)- but I imagine all the depression will have made England's odds longer... might be worth a punt now.

been screaming for it for last 2 games.

Bellingham clearly a very very good player. But other than the first 45 mins of the first game, he’s been anonymous. Should have come off way sooner today and foden was actually playing better.

    Would love to see

    Pickford
    Taa Stones guehi walker
    rice mainoo
    saka foden Gordon
    kane

    won’t happen obviously.

Bellingham looked like he was told.something he didn't like to go left and was stroppy to kick lads.

I'd totally change the formation personally as it just doesn't work with kane on his own. Get people past him

I'd drop kane, weve a plethora of quick technical players, then the gumper at no.9 plodding about, hoping something falls on a plate for him.

He's been the wrong choice for england for years, but its sir arry aight it.

I would do that too. He is really slow.

We could try Bellingham as a real madrid false 9 but I don't see thr players to go beyond him
