Do you really think the starting lineup is that bad or are you just riding the negative vibe, it's not that uninspiring, one midfield place is questionable, and yes Cole Palmer does need to be first sub on, calm down, we will win 3-0.
Four cases of Tizer, eight haggis's, eighteen copies of the Daily Record* and four sets of bagpipes * That will upset him the most.
Debacle in Qatar? We scored 13 goals in 5 games and narrowly lost to the reigning champions (who many fancied to win the whole thing again) in a game where we missed a penalty and there was controversy about a goal the opposition scored. That's a debacle?
Once the knockouts start Its anyones game No second chances England have as much chance as spain and france n the rest
Has Southgate brought Gallagher in because he’s the closest option to Kalvin Phillips? I’m just chuffed Carlton Palmer isn’t available.
Some dirty bastards on here would have it on fish and chips. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Tonight will tell us a lot. They know they need a big performance now. If we don't see it tonight then I really don't think we'll suddenly see it in the knockouts.
Big Ange just pointing out the obvious, our left hand attacking threat is non existent. Then Roy Keane pointed out that Trippier is a right back in poor form playing at left back. It’s so obvious.
I think the problem is Foden is not a winger like saka So while saka can run to the byline at pace and whip it in Foden cuts inside Which causes a huge imbalance that also pushes kane out of position as kane needs the wide players to stretch the defenders As kane has never had pace Hes an absolutely deadly finisher inside the box Gordon shoulf have started tonight
Henderson, Maguire, Shaw not playing otherwise tonight’s team is the same that failed in Qatar. And if they were fit 2 of those would definitely be playing. Quarter final - not good enough. Qatar was a massive backward step and should have seen the end of Southgate.
One midfield place can and has totally unbalanced the team, foden should definitely not be on the left. I'm not saying palmer should start but he should at least be coming on as a sub.
I thought the performances on the pitch were by far our best in tournaments under Southgate. We attacked and weren't overly cautious. Senegal were a good team that we brushed aside. We might have been knocked out in the quarters - but is it that fair to judge a team just on that in a pure knockout tournament? Going into the France game, I was hopeful but by no means expectant. They probably were the better team but we took them all the way and with a different ref, we win and probably make the final. There was no real reason to sack Southgate.
