I think losing tonight would send England into the path of
Germany.
Then Prob Spain and then possibly Portugal

 

And pop music, American and British.

 

I'll drop this in here in case anybody wants to try it for tonights game.

 

FIFA World Rankings, whilst not infallible, are a good guide of an international team’s ability.

Denmark are 21st.

Serbia are 32nd.

Slovenia are 57th.

We’re 5th.


We should win this comfortably. We need to put a marker down that we are a credible force with a good shot at winning the whole thing.

I don’t buy this it doesn’t matter how you get there crap; it does. We looked awful at the end against Denmark. Like a team who had never played together before. If we don’t improve now we’re unlikely to in the knockouts.

I’d drop Bellingham back, put Foden in the middle and Gordon on the left, like many are suggesting, but we won’t. The only change will be Gallagher for Alexander-Arnold and I bet that sticks in Southgate’s throat.

I hope we click, I really do but Southgate should have gone after the debacle in Qatar.

We are currently throwing away a fantastic opportunity. It goes without saying that we need to turn this around immediately.

I think its interesting how expectations almost cloud your enjoyment of a game

Ive really enjoyed watching austria, played well every game
But theres no expectations on them
Just enjoying the tournament and the austrians are loving it

Wereas france and england have been dire to watch, but its almost becasue the expectations are so high
That anything but a convincing win is not seen as good
