Off Topic This is the time I like to call the 'gentlemen' hour

I have lost not one but two girls.

The first was when I had just moved up to Edinburgh so did not know my way around very well and I was out with some friends when I met up with a girl and went off with her. Later that night we were walking back to her place (fist pump) which was like a mile away and I really needed a piss so candidly told her I was just going off to find somewhere I could take a quick wizz which I did and then realised that I could not remember exactly where I had come from (I was a bit drunk as well) but did not think it was that much of a problem because I knew the general direction so wondered off to where I thought I had come from. I ended up wondering about for an hour and a half getting completely lost, I even tried to use the GPRS on my phone but it was useless because I did not even know where I was to begin with. I had only met her that night so did not have her phone number so could not call her. I finally stumbled across somewhere I knew so just went home. Never seen that girl again, for all I know she could still be there waiting for me, still do not know where I was either, I have never come upon that place ever again.

The second time was when I was meeting up with a girl I had asked out. At the time I had a part time job somewhere a bit out of the centre of the Edinburgh and I was meeting up with her there straight after my shift and going on from there. I had told her which bus she needed to get to reach where I worked and even how many stops it took and everything. The problem was that I told her to get the bus from the wrong side of the road by mistake so she ended up going in the opposite direction. After waiting 30 mins for her I phoned her up to see what the deal was and found out that she was miles away and figured out what must of happened. Did not get the second date.

 

!!! The first one is ****ing hilarious! !

 

Let's get this place up and running again.

Just finished watching a documentary on BBC3 and now listening to some music. I feel like getting pissed out of my face for some random reason now, strange.

 

Good plan! I'm half a dozen large vodkas ahead of you ... but not feeling any effect yet. That may be a bad sign ...!

 

I could quite easily have a pint right now.

Same, i'm gutted i've given up drinking! Well I gave up about 1.45 last Thursday morning and plan to start again about 7 Wednesday evening.

 

A 21 year old girl who was born with cystic fibrosis and is waiting on a lung transplant. She needed an oxygen machine 24 hours a day. She was on the brink of death just before her wedding, she came out of hospital just in time to get married and was back in and nearly dead just 3 weeks after. Almost had a transplant but the lungs were no good, but I think in the end she just managed to get a transplant in time. Was really quite moving as she was seriously ill but in really good spirit most of the time. Absolutely stunning girl as well.

 

I had a good drink on Saturday night, but don't normally drink that much during the week apart from the odd pint at the the club. I'm off on Wednesday though, so I may get a few cans in and watch Gandhi.

 

Aah ... saw an article about her on BBC website. Yeah stunning girl judging by the picture they had of her. If I remember rightly she is doing ok now and is really philosophical about the future. Realises she will probably only have about twenty years but determined to enjoy them. Wish i'd seen it!

 

Classic film, watched it quite recently by coincidence.

Good idea laying of the booze during the week ... too easy to get into the habit of drinking everyday, much like myself.

 

I work Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights so don't really get a chance to drink at weekends(though after football on a Sunday I tend to have a few too many before work). So all my drinking happens in the week with a night out on a Wednesday. I'm getting bored of that though, desperately need a new job.

 

Those BBC3 Documentaries are so hard hitting. Did you see the one about the young lad with cancer? He was the same age as me when he died and it was really difficult to watch.

 

Repeated at 8pm Tuesday evening! Was so much better than the schoolboy to terrorist one they had on last week.

 

I've not seen too many to be honest, tend to be a bit too hard hitting for me. I thought the one's about Jono Lancaster were really good though.

To be honest I rarely watch tv these days so haven't caught any of them. Was just interested in that one because I had caught the bbc article.
