I'd dismissed that previously as the time stamp at the top of the article is August 2023 but I now realise that that was the date it was first posted and it's been updated on an ongoing basis since! Interesting to see they were less direct in his second season. I wonder if that was intentional.
Some good, some bad but if it was all good I doubt he'd be here. High passes per sequence is a good thing for me as someone who wants us to dominate the ball. Concerned about the set piece numbers and the amount of shots his teams concede though.
I think he's a talented player,and he's been a major victim of the nonsense that's gone on over the last 6 months or so. If I have a criticism of him,it's that he doesn't think clearly and take the right option. However,he's not really had a clear set of instructions,and it's never looked like he knew what his role was.Maybe RLB can get into his head and we might see a very good player.
One player that stood out for me last season and I never knew he’d come from Lorient, is Ouattara at Bournemouth. He looked very good for them and he’s only a young guy. Wonder how much of an impact Le Bris had on him…
