We are losing around £800,000 a month in L1. There are only 3 ways that you can minimise this - 1. sell playing assets 2. Cut costs 3. Get promoted to the Championship League One is not competitive. The vast majority of the clubs are small & Northern / provincial. A bare minimum for a club like us, with our budget and support, must be a top 3 challenge.
I love the WUM’s speculation on the transfer thread. Example: Ollie Watkins not bin picked four England could be coming to us ?
Here's a few things it would be nice if we could avoid - we can tick them off if successful; Three gaffers in a season Needing two games to get past some 8th tier part-timers in the Cup Getting knocked out of all Cup competitions by nobodies Being above the relegation places by goal difference alone in February 1 away win from August until late February Can we avoid all these things by May 2025? I wonder what odds I would get on this if I was a betting man...
I think we have drawn Bromley Town in the opening group stages of the EFL Tin Pot Cup. A real local derby
Wtf is Ivor blabbering on about? Once you have made a bid and it's turned down, any further 'bids' are negotiations
20 stones taff tugging himself off with apologists hanging on his every word #Charlief******him off after Orient home.
Sam3110 on Charlton Life, I believe is well below 35 and has experienced more s*** than good, so unable to understand why the likes of a fan who goes back to late 70's is very f***** off. I'm having an exchange atm with him, apparently I have Charlton goggles, not realising there MIGHT be better players out there.
It is a sad thing that fans approaching 30 now will have only the faintest memories of the last few Premiership seasons under Curbs if they used to go as kids to see the games. And fans have to be pushing 40 to remember the decent years of the mid-late 1990's that led to those faded pictures on the exterior walls of the Valley in Harvey Gardens. If the Club ever climbs back to being what it was for decades - a 2nd Division team with half a chance of having a decent season and maybe making the top flight again - at least one whole generation will have passed.
Your so called “jousts” on Charlton Life are always like two grown men flicking each other with wet tissues
SWisdom has been absolutely slaughtered, and rightly so, for posting pictures of May's property and revealing private details of family. He denied he was a stalker
Bexley Boy is like whack-a-mole over there any poster who says anything mildly critical about anything at the club and he’s straight in there with his Pravda-like explanation.
Never once in 10 plus years had he engaged with any poster on any forum. Just specialises in stupid, provocative comments.
