This is fascinating in the sense that if it is true, it will prove definitively that Speakman has not been the issue in holding up this appointment due to wanting full control... but it will be irrelevant because he'll be gone.
Oh, there will be some excuse as to why their negative 'facts' have been proved to be wrong. They'll still have somehow been right.
We will see if this information is correct over the summer, but I see Speakman has been quoted in the RLB announcement. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/crgg059rn4vo
What I noticed was the must win games messages, otherwise after 3 games the negatives will start... 3 games ffs. To negative for me and I switched off halfway through.
What's truly laughable is that certain people always call themselves 'realists' ... ... when their claims are proved to be unrealistic they just move on to something else. During our fight against PL relegation they'd keep saying those who thought we'd stay up were deluded. The reality was that we hadn't gone down. Each time we stayed up they'd vanish, until we eventually went down, and they all appeared again.

what i honestly cannot grasp is the hatred towards KLD and KS, i do not know of any owners that have built a club up without some 'fails' along the way and the same goes for recruitment teams but so far both have earned some time to correct those mistakes. two or three posters have stated that KLD is looking to change things and while it is very much a 'he said she said' statement as they all are, there is evidence of it actually happening on the pitch, in the stands, areas in and outside the stadium and with the staff...surely people can see it and get behind them rather than waiting for the next slight blip to start the negativity again.
Something that's mentioned in this thread and in other articles about his time at Lorient that i've noticed is that things took a turn for the worse when he was handed control of player recruitment. To me that suggests he'll be a good fit here as he can concentrate on coaching, which seems to be his biggest strength. Love the fact he is big on psychology and individual player meetings. With a young squad like ours sometimes they need brought back down after a win and helped when going through a tough patch. Looking forward to hearing from him whenever we do.
Good points mate. What I struggle with is when people say KLD/KS want a 'Yes Man' who'll agree with the wishes of the club and share the vision of a playing style, desire to make the play-offs, develop young talent, etc. That's like saying you should marry a 'Yes Woman' who'll share the same interests, want the same things from life and share key beliefs. Why on earth would the club want to employ a 'No Man' who'll argue with everything the club want to do
Looks like he's picked being a coach at Man Utd over the main gig at Burnley. Wonder where Burnley go from here, Bellamy getting the job would be my guess.
It seems Burnley are a national laughing stock and a shambles being in the transfer window without a manager. How embarrassing to have arrived at a point whereby they've lost a manager and clearly have no continuity planning. No doubt they'll end up taking the cheap option as they clearly don't want to pay compensation. Despite their assistant manager taking them down it looks like they'll just let him have a try. He's currently acting head coach, the second time he's filled in. I don't believe he has any actual managerial experience, was recently declared bankrupt and had a recent break for 'mental health issues', oops. Perhaps they can't attract a manager because they won't sack their DOF and all the coaches despite being relegated and effectively writing off half a season. Their supposed owner is a Mormon, with a shady past, and the club carry a multi-million debt despite the Kompany compo and parachute money. Definitely something wrong at that club ... ... really glad we're nothing like them
I like the sound of the new coach Régis Le Bris. Looking forward to him and who he brings. New signings and pre season games to start with @RTB 's match day threads HA'WAY THE LADS. Am gerrin excited now
