Let's all remind ourselves that all you ever wanted was a club that tries... remember? Now it's I want players the club are telling us they can't afford.

Lewins good enough for Newcastle right now... Gordon got this reaction but some people new he was good... the club in particular.

Come on, give credit where it's due, even when it hurts.

Who exactly really, really wanted Gordon at the club?

I think his name begins with Ed..

We haven't even signed DCL so I wouldn't start attacking or defending him yet.

We always do this and then they **** off to another club and we sign some random **** from Angola

Yeah I remember that just wanted let them know Roland did... he gets a lot right tbh... Barnes for example.. could've bought 2 top centre half's.

Yeah, I wasn't that pleased about Barnes.

But I also said Livramento was no good, completely wrong

I suppose if Gordon is injured Barnes will suddenly make sense. I just think Newcastle are have really **** cbs and it could have even sorted out... scoring isn't an issue and all we keep hearing is cries for a striker and a right winger.. we concede goals far too easily.

Erm, think I've said Lewin would be alright. That we either go for a player like him or take a risk with a youngster. Kelly adds speed to the defensive line and I can see him playing LCB rather than rb judging by his interview. Think we need another RCB but I'd certainly be prioritising RW position.

Yeah, I'm also cautiously positive about the addition of Kelly.

Also, excellent news of he's intended for lcb - frees up burn to go back to LB.

It's very simple! Newcastle at times were still having to reply of sub standard players. The first 11 when fit isn't bad at all, so packing out squad with some good solid purchases isn't a bad way fwd at all given the money isn't there at the moment.

Back to being a selling club we go.. searching out washed up plodders.

    Howe is risking a lot.

Don’t see the point myself and think the club is miles away from a good transfer policy. Kelly makes some sense, Burn isn’t getting any better and he fits the way Howe plays. However he’s far from inspiring with constant niggling injuries.

We have PSR restraints yet found £42m for a sub right back. For all Tino is a good player with big potential, he’s probably not even worth £42m right now. I don’t quite get why we’re incapable of discovering players, and why all the links so far are uninspiring, relatively known quantities.

I have a bit of sympathy, we have so few saleable assets so at £40m in Minteh will have to be sold.

life said for ages Saudi shops just replicate the Brighton model and if needs be hire their top people in the data house. We then song players cheap who will improve immeasurably.
