The Lib Dems should be campaigning for Reform. The more votes they take off the unconservative Conservatives, the more seats the Illiberal Undemocrats will obtain by default. A YouGov poll showed that a third of Lib Dem voters did not even recognise Ed Davey when shown his photo. I bet they all recognise Farage. When that poll was shown last week that had Reform on 19 per cent and the Conservatives on 18 per cent, Labour was only on 37 per cent. Simple arithmetic shows that 19 plus 18 equals 37 but the electoral system means that 19 will probably result in no seats whilst 18 will result in not many seats, 37 will be a huge majority and 14 per cent for the Lib Dems will result in not many seats. 68 per cent of Reform supporters voted for the Conservatives in 2019 according to YouGov so they would still be 6 points behind if they went back.
