Is anyone betting on when Gareth Southgate quits or is sacked? If friends of Southgate remarkably make money betting on it, will Sir Beer Korma demand they are prosecuted for breaking no laws at all? He might be in Downing Street by then. England played Pepball for 30 minutes in the first game, scored and then did bugger all. In the Denmark game they were rubbish and were lucky to get a draw. Only Southgate cannot figure out how to play with a squad full of attacking players, virtually no defenders and his pet defender not even in the squad. Even Alan Shearer could do a better job and he is a Geordie. Football won’t be coming home as the European Championship does not feature the original country that kicked a ball...
Sad to see. A very small minority though. I’ve seen plenty of videos of the Scottish and English fans mixing and drinking together in Germany. That doesn’t make good press, though.
I enjoyed the Belgium v Romania match. Some lovely football on show, especially from KDB. I like Doku, but his final ball is lacking somewhat. Lukaku had another goal disallowed - that's three in the first two matches.
All teams have played 2 games, groups start to conclude as of tomorrow. England's group, C, will be the 4th to be concluded. Ideally, Scotland draw with Hungary and neither of Croatia and Albania beat Spain or Italy then we can watch without any fear of being knocked out. Of course, topping the group would tend to be preferable.
