Howe imo is more likely to sell minteh... I don't think Howe likes players he didn't ask for.

 

He could also turn out to be an absolute headless chicken. Something that he has been accused of during his time in Holland. It's a gamble either way, but £40m for a player thats never played is some business. We can always arrange a buy back clause.

 

His goals are quality... I'd rather keep him and flog longstaff but nobody will buy him or the other poor players.

Hall would still be frozen out if this manager had his way and that is a concern imo...as well as Howe has done there's some worrying traits.

 

So if you can get £40m for a potential headless chicken imagine how much we could get for the finished article in Almiron!

 

If someone said Juventus wanted a swap deal, where we got Chiesa and £5m and they got Minteh in return, you'd have to be insane to turn that down.

Some reports are currently suggesting that Everton want £35million for Calvert-Lewin and NUFC want £25m for Minteh.

 

Yet we could sell Minteh to someone else and get Chiesa for a reported £35m

By all accounts why would these clubs be circling if he wasn’t massive potential?

Because he's quick and has overall good stats but in a **** league. It's exactly as you say, a big gamble on potential.

He could turn out to be mint, he could turn out to be ASM 2.0, he could turn out to be Ryan Fraser 2.0. Too soon to tell.

 

So you’re all for selling a potential superstar. To then spend the money on DCL?
