I see Villa have agreed a £35mil fee with Chelsea for Ian Maatsen which seems a good price considering he was excellent whenever I watched him play out on loan for Dortmund last season. Pity we weren't in for him as he's one of the best young attacking LB around but hopefully Lewis Hall can kick on next season. Roman Abramovich's method of hoovering up all the best youth players to loan out and then sell has really saved Boehly's Chelsea from transfer ruin:emoticon-0112-wonde

It should not have been allowed to happen. They hoovered up all the talent. Then loaned them all out.

It's still allowed to happen now, and will never change for big clubs. The amount of loanees from City and Chelsea in particular is ****ing sickening. They knew what they were doing and, of course, the authorities are miles behind. The second Newcastle start buying decent kids and loaning them out, the PL will mysteriously launch into action and put some weird future cap on it, or a ratio based on a trophy coefficient, so the more you've won since 1992, the more loanees you can have.....

This I think will happen. It’s basically doping.

I guess the PL wouldn’t want to upset that because they may get a challenge.

But it’s wrong.

Fifa are slowly stopping it. Can only loan out X number of players under age of 21 over the coming years with the number gradually going down I believe.
