Yep. The page has turned and it’s time for a new chapter.

Agree with you about Allardyce. Surely the Welsh FA aren’t that stupid. Are they?

Oh and Giggs can do one as well.

Well first if all, thanks Rob for all you did and for being a proud Welshman. I hope Welsh fans appreciate what he did.

I'm undecided on whether this is the right call or not. Our style of play certainly needs an overhaul and for that reason, it's probably the right move. However, if he was sacked purely for experimenting with essentially a youth team in two friendlies, then it's wrong.

Whatever happens now has to be a meaningful appointment. Perhaps Mr Bellamy could be tempted.

End of an era but we move on.

Totally agree on Bellers Clingo. If we can't have him at City - for now - then get him in charge of Wales.

Give us a real burst of enthusiasm and commitment. On and off the field.

Our friends down west may not agree. <whistle>

Personally, if we could team Bellars and Osian Roberts up together, that could be a bit of a dream team...

I'm sure I read somewhere that Osian was going to stand aside at Como for Fabergas to take the reins up fully???? And if the rumours about Burnley chasing Van Nistelrooy are correct then Bellars will likely be available very soon.

Fifth in the initial betting after the above 2, Nathan Jones and Chris Coleman, is Rob Edwards.

Has done well at Luton despite the expected relegation, would be a good shout if he decided to move on.

Yes indeed. That would be one hell of a team. In fact I hadn't thought of Roberts so perhaps if we can't have both, either he or Bellers would still be good.

Well for all his critics I am sorry to see Page go. I think he did a good job given the circumstances he took over and the resources available to him. We have some good young players and they will mature as a team, but fans (of all clubs and countries) these days, demand instant success and if it doesn't happen want the manager replaced. No wonder the managerial merry go round has its own Sack Race thread. Good luck to Rob Page and it's a no from me to Giggs or Allardyce.

He's just been given a new 4 year contract by Luton so would be a hell of a compensation package I'd imagine - probably more than the FAW would be willing to stump up no doubts.

This will be like the Bulut saga all over again won't it????? :emoticon-0107-sweat

I think the FAW have already said they will take their time. No sh1t Sherlock.

I have to agree with BT on Page's sacking.
Knocked out of the Euros as the Polish keeper dived the right way to save James' pen.
Squads for 2 friendlies greatly weakened by the absence of 7 or so first choices including the whole back 5. Should have still beaten Gibraltar but the Slovakia defeat not unexpected against a side who are not too shabby at the Euros.
He could only work with what he had available.

    that’s affordable.
I’m of the school that if you get rid you’ve got to have someone ready willing and able in place.

    Who is available mmmm:emoticon-0138-think
