Yeh I like Paul Chowdrey. "You alright Dave, bastrd!"

He would've ripped the **** out of the dickhead. I think it's CK <whistle>

Has Chowdrey changed his routine these days?

I always remembered him as another one of the "kinda awkward" comedians back in the day.

Remember his appearance on Taskmaster and thought he was a bit reserverd for example.

I've never got into Taskmaster but can see why he wouldn't work on that. He needs an audience to bounce off.

I remember when he started out, both him and Raganathan were unknowns. Chowdhery was very much the uncomfortable/awkward comedian bcos he took on all sorts of racial stuff head on and relied on the audience to make it work. I found his early stuff very funny. Haven't watched him much since he grew the mahoosive moustache.

Yeah, I guess so. Messing with the audience is definitely the new thing, some comedians it's all they can do now (definitely not including Chowdhery in that). Ask them where they come from, what they do, take the piss, hope it lands, move on. Not the biggest fan, once you've seen it a few times you've seen it all.

Ranganathan is hilarious wherever I see him, he bounces off other comedians perfectly. He can be ruthless and go at people or can be the butt of every joke, he has no ego about him. I think being a teacher definitely built that into him.

Some big name comedians however aren't funny at all - Greg Davies, prime example for me.

Yeh definitely agree about Davies. He's not a stand up. More suited to sitcoms.

I see Ranganathan very similar to Jack Dee when he does the miserable look deadpan stuff. Agree though he's extremely versatile. I found the judge/courtroom stuff he did hilarious.

Btw yet to find a woman comedian who's funny. Not one :bandit:

The Israeli military has said its forces violated protocol by strapping a wounded Palestinian man to the front of their vehicle during a raid in the West Bank city of Jenin.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the incident after it was captured on video and shared on social media. An IDF statement said the man was wounded in an exchange of fire during the raid, in which he was a suspect.

The injured man's family said that when they asked for an ambulance, the army took him, strapped him to the bonnet of their jeep and drove off.

Any context to go with the photo that isn't a preconceived assumption? Was their other choice just to leave him suffering and maybe die, or was it the quickest and safest way to take him to the aid station, so they took the decision to ignore protocol to save his life? If he was tied to the bumper you'd have an argument, but this kind of thing happens a lot in warzones where ambulances are, unsurprisingly, fairly busy.

Was standard practice during WW2 for stretchers to be tied onto the bonnet of Yank jeeps.

I think the terrifying thing for this guy's family was probably the lack of communication, he's just been shot, chaos all around, he's tied to a car and driven off.
