Thing is, let's say we sell for 20, we only get about 14. 4 million goes into the club then you've only 10 to work with. It's still good money, but not ideal.

I know from someone who was involved in the deal fron Stills side
Still was getting his coaching staff, he was getting a bigger control over transfers but he felt Lens was a better move for his career. It was all agreed, he was going to sign with us and was happy with everything then Lens came along
I get very very little information compared to some on here but this is the 1 piece of info I've been given that was directly from someone involved in the deal. It wasnt someone from the sunderland end, who might have agenda against speakman (of course therell be time when speakmangets things wrong - plenty in the last 12 months). The person that told me it, is someone i have known for years and is involved in football, and he was working on the deal on stills behalf (well part of a team that was)
not trying to catch you out but you were saying for ages you thought it would be still. Why did you think that if you knew we weren’t offering what he wanted?

Yeah I did and I said the longer to goes on and it isn't agreed , someone else will come in and he will go there.

Yeah. I did say early May it was complex and front bench related. Ultimately , when it came out in the wash, it was. From my end anyway. The fact he isn't here and elesehere shows we didn't close sufficiently and ensure we were an attractive enough place for him to come.
Anyway. He doesn't exist now.
I think it’s time to just draw a line under this and forget about Will Still.

Yes mate. Really should have been days and weeks before. Never mind today / tomorrow.
Again, every day that goes past it's just not good enough and the excuses are irrelevant.
Close or make a change to the people who are tasked to close.
They can't give it to Dodds as they have stated a new head coach is imminent???is that correct?
