Not often the pundits all talk sense but called it spot on. Kane doing nothing up top and setting the tone for a lack of pressing leading to denmark being able to easily walk the ball past the front 4
Pointless sub this one. TAA finally makes. A good run through the middle and then plays a brilliant ball out to Saka after one of the forwards makes a forward run and then gets subbed off for another defensive midfielder.
TAA will get the slack no doubt but given rice and Bellingham cost £200m between them they’ve been totally anonymous as a midfield today. Painful watch this.
England just need to sleepily stay alive for another 20 mins and they're almost certain to top the group.

Said in game 1. If you’re going to play TAA there, you play him cos you want him to get on the ball and play the QB role of spraying passes wide left, over the top. Did it for Saka just before he went off. If you’re going to play TAA there and have Kane not moving and foden coming inside deep then he’s pointless midfielder as he’s not energetic or defensively good enough and the 1 strength he has is wasted as he can’t use it.
Back five not strong enough. You don't win cups with a poor defence. Joking about Kane aside, he can be decent... But we're too reliant on him instead of pushing some of our other attackers. I can't see England going beyond semis and may get caught out before then.
Got to hand it to Gareth Southgate - how he manages to squeeze such mediocrity out of a very talented group of players is quite an achievement.
