Some of these players have made more misplaced passes in this half than they have done all season for their clubs. Their whole body language seems on edge and nervous. They’re not playing with any confidence. The worst thing is, after a poor half like that, I have zero faith the coach can rally them. He’s a wet flannel.
The only thing I would give Southgate credit for, was geting the players onside with a fresh start. Tactics and subs were always a doubt, but there was certainly passion. Can't say that any more.
