I’d be lying if I said I knew a great deal about Cifuentes. What’s the main reason people are desperate for him to come in?
If, as has been suggested above, he’s not back in the country until the weekend, then you’ll be waiting until Monday at the earliest for anything definitive.
I like the way his teams play football, high tempo, attacking football but he seems pretty good at changing things in game The bonus is he has experience in the league now as well
He took a QPR side that were dead and buried and finished on same points as us whilst playing good football They had 8 points from 14 games when he took over He took from 48 points from 32 games
They way he turned a sinking ship around for me, play good front foot football too, if he could do it with qpr no reason he can’t do it here, especially IF he’s given the tools in the transfer window
I’ve said it previously but his QPR squad had loads of experience, plenty of players 30+ who’d done it in this league for years and years. Our squad is the complete opposite but arguably more talented.
Their squad was nowhere near as talented as ours their squad was a load of ****e bar willock and chair. Trained to play Gareth ainsworth football and he changed it and saved them
Fair point, hoping that is addressed in the window to give him or whoever comes in the best chance of moving forward
His Hammarby squad however was probably younger than ours. His time there is why I want him here, not particularly bothered by the QPR job as, like you say, the two squads couldn't be more different.
There’s going to be a few on here with egg on their face when KLD shows just how ambitious he is this summer. This is the summer we go for it Enjoy the match everyone
Pep could take over tomorrow and we could sign Haaland on Friday and you would still twist. Chill out sit back and enjoy the ride
It’s not ****, it’s just not very well balanced, lacks experience, a proper defensive midfielder and a decent centre forward. Other than that… Let’s see who we bring in as gaffer then we can worry about the squad.
Haway mate, I don't think our squad is as good as it could be but I see no QPR players who they will be getting £10m+ bids for this summer, whereas Clarke, Neil, Patterson, Ballard and Jobe will all have serious interest at that price point or more and then Hume and Ekwah would also fetch more than most of their squad. There was a reason we were in and around the playoffs with a component head coach (Mowbray) and even with Beale we were picking up points that would've kept us in the top half. And that was without players in key positions. We aren't far away at all and the evidence proves that. A good head coach that fits the squad, a forward that fits the system, a midfielder to complement Neil and a couple older heads and I think we'll be absolutely fine.
