I am not a huge fan of stadium concerts, but on Saturday I am off to the London Stadium to see Foo Fighters, quite short notice my brother was going and someone dropped out leaving a spare ticket so I thought why not.
Germany via Camden, judging by the background: Hungary: Scotland (with bonus Germany): Switzerland: Metal bands, Euros-themed and all have female vocals. Only two feature hurdy gurdies, though. That actually wasn't planned, either!
I don't recall seeing the set up for concerts there. Nor do I recall whether they've been well received. The distinct lack of bars is supposed to be a problem for football, but maybe they've got mobile beer vendors in with the punters for baseball, etc.? Definitely interested in how it all works. Yet again, it looks as if the weather gods are going to shine on us. After a monumentally wet June, this weekend looks like it will be pretty dry. That's a big relief. Whilst I have gotten some seam sealant and fly sheet spray, the best cure for a leaking tent is....dry weather. Enjoy The FF's!!!
One of your faves - The Queers are playing Rebellion this year. Barring any significant clashes, I shall report in.
Plus by going to Saturday night's date as opposed to tonight you miss out Wet Leg's support slot and get Courtney Barnett instead! A definitive bonus in my book!
Well worth watching. Joe King (aka Joe Queer) writes magnificent Beach Boys melodies, played in a punk (Ramones) style. Great band.
